Every health science program at Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute has announced a 100-percent pass rate on 2013 board and licensure exams, a first-time accomplishment for the college, trustees were told at their Wednesday board meeting.
“If you compare that to surrounding schools and to four-year schools, it’s a huge achievement,” Margaret Hampson, the college’s vice president for college transfer and technical programs, told the trustees.
The associate degree in nursing program received, for the second consecutive year, a 100-percent pass rate on the NCLEX-RN licensure examination.The associate degree programs in nuclear medicine technology, physical therapist assistant, speech language pathology assistant, ophthalmic medical assistant and radiography all also announced 100-percent pass rates on the board or licensure exams that are required for students wishing to enter those professions.
The school’s paralegal technology program also announced a 100-percent pass rate on its licensure exams.
